Here in Alberta, I think there's been a collective sentiment over the last couple of months...let's just get through 2016 and put it behind us. And we have! The end of the year brought news of pipeline approvals and also an agreement from OPEC to cut oil production for the first time in 8 years. All of this has increased the price of oil to above $50/barrel and infused some positive energy into a pretty depressed province. And while we don't yet know what 2017 has in store for us, these are definitely reasons to be optimistic. A recent report I read by Scott Disavino at Reuter's Canada titled "Canadian drillers add most oil rigs in two years: Baker Hughes" added to my optimism. Here's to a great, prosperous 2017!
